PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which can easily attain an improvement in recording quality. SOLUTION: In each of a plurality of recording units 9 arranged along a transfer route of a recording medium RM, a recording head 10, a platen 11, a transfer means 13 and a disturbance blocking means 15 are set. The platen 11 is set to be opposed to the recording head 10 via the transfer route and to be able to connect and separate relatively to the recording head 10. The transfer means 13 is equipped with a transfer roller 12 disposed at the downstream side of the recording head 10. The disturbance blocking means 15 is equipped with a friction roller 14 disposed at the downstream side of the transfer means 13 so as to block propagation of a disturbance generated at the downstream side to the upstream side via the recording medium RM between the recording units 9.
