PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand expanders for gripping workpieces at the same timing even when there is level difference among a number of workpieces arranged, and contract a number of the expanders at the same timing after transfer to a subsequent process, without requiring precision with fluid supply/discharge timing to the expanders. SOLUTION: This gripping device is provided with a connection member 8 that is movable up and down, and right and left, a suspension member 5, a plurality of which are disposed on the connection member 8, a plate 3 having a gripper mechanism part 2 on a lower surface provided with the expander 1 that is expanded/contracted by injection/discharge of fluid to grip a workpiece when expanded, and springs 4 for installing the suspension members 5 on an upper surface of the plate 3.
