PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stir an article to be stirred while loosening it in a stirring device for performing heating, stirring and cooking of a food material. SOLUTION: The stirring device is provided with a cooking vessel 1 capable of storing a boiled rice; scraping elements 25, 27 scraping-movable along a bottom part 11 of the cooking vessel 1; a stirrer 31 arranged at the bottom part 11 side of the cooking vessel 1 and loosening the boiled rice; and a rotation drive part 68 being rotated/driven in order to scraping-move the scraping elements 25, 27 and loosening-rotating the stirrer 31. The rotation drive part 68 is revolution-driven while rotation-driving the scraping elements 25, 27 and the stirrer 31 relative to the cooking vessel 1 and loosening-rotates/drives the stirrer 31 relative to the scraping element 25.
