PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire extinguishing sheet which can perfectly and easily extinguish not only a fire of a general house but also an oil fire caused by overheating a large size frying pot or a fire by an oil stove before spreading into a large fire, further nearly without soiling the circumference around the origin of a fire. SOLUTION: This fire extinguishing sheet is formed by piling up a water absorptive layer and a heat resistant or flame resistant fiber layer. The water absorptive layer is a layer containing water absorptive resin and is made of cloth containing water absorptive fiber or super water absorptive fiber.
