PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk drive which has a tray to put on a disk for carrying in or out and can automatically put the disk properly in a recessed part when carrying in the tray even if the disk placed on the tray is not fit in the recessed part due to misregistration. SOLUTION: A recessed part 13 is formed on the upper surface 22 of the tray with a pair of semicircular peripheral edges to correctly position the disk 21. The peripheral edge have mounting flat surfaces 16 to hold the outer bottom face of the disk and inner periphery surfaces 15 to position the disk periphery. The mounting flat surfaces 16 are formed higher than the recessed part bottom face 18 and their ends are sloped down to be flush with the bottom face 18. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
