METHOD OF MEASUREMENT OF SEA WAVES' HEIGHT

FIELD: oceanographic measurements. ^ SUBSTANCE: level measuring detector is used for the purpose, which detector is provided with measuring tube communicating with water. Detector's signals, corresponding to level of sea surface are processed by upper frequency first order recursive filter to achieve values of oscillations of level relatively average value. Absolute values of level oscillations relatively average value are determined. Results are subject to averaging during half period of average frequency; then results are multiplied by factor pi. Signal are subject to averaging by means of lower frequency filter and average statistic meaning of sea waves' height is found. ^ EFFECT: improved precision of measurements. ^ 1 dwg
