<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize smooth, efficient processing when a kind of paper designated in setting of printing is not matched with a kind of paper set on a paper supply tray. <P>SOLUTION: The processing at a time when mismatching of kinds of paper occurs can be carried out on a client PC. When the mismatching occurs, it is confirmed on the printer whether the designation in the setting of printing is adopted or the setting of a printer is adopted (steps 120, 122). When the setting of printing is adopted, one of processing of printing without interposing of a user, temporary changing of the kind of paper, processing of printing using the kind of paper set on the printer and stopping of the printing (steps 128-142), as well as changing of setting of the kind of paper with respect to the paper supply tray (steps 140, 144) is carried out according to the setting of printing on the client PC. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
