<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card where a reinforcing plate protecting an IC chip is kept out of contact with a circuit pattern even in the hardening and contraction of a sealing resin. <P>SOLUTION: The reinforcing plate 11 is elongated and the circuit pattern 16 is extended in a direction approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal direction B of the reinforcing plate 11 so that the distance between an end 11a of the reinforcing plate 11 along its longitudinal direction B and the IC chip 17 is longer than the distance between a lateral end of the reinforcing plate 11 and the IC chip 17. The inclination of the reinforcing plate 11 due to the hardening and contraction of the resin or the like occurs with the IC chip 17 serving as a fulcrum and acts to bring the end 11a of the reinforcing plate 11 along the longitudinal direction B close to a base, so as to prevent the reinforcing plate from coming in contact with the circuit pattern. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
