PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing signal receiver that can easily obtain an accurate synchronizing signal in the case of receiving an OFDM signal. SOLUTION: The transmitter side of the OFDM signal includes an IFFT circuit for generating a multi-value QAM modulation signal; and a guard interval setting circuit, the IFFT circuit sets a phase at a start point of a plurality of symbol intervals to a prescribed value, generates a pilot signal with a harmonic frequency existing in a guard interval by a number of an odd number multiple of a half wavelength, and the pilot signal is continuously transmitted over the plurality of symbol intervals including the guard interval block, and the receiver side demodulates the pilot signal to obtain the phase information of the pilot signal and uses the phase information to convert the multi-value QAM modulation signal into a digital information signal.
