PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely carry a media carrying tray and to provide the media carrying tray which has no influence on printing accuracy during printing. SOLUTION: In a recording medium mounting apparatus which mounts a recording medium such as a CD-R on its upper face, carries it in a recording apparatus and performs printing on the recording medium, the friction coefficient of the back surface is made different between that in a range at a definite distance from the back end part in the carrying direction during printing and that in the other range.
