PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bus control method for improving bus transfer efficiency. SOLUTION: In the bus control method for a bus control system to which a memory controller functioning as a bus slave, and a data processing device functioning as a bus master for performing input/output processing of data for the memory controller are connected via a bus, the data processing device issues a read request including address information on data or a transfer request, for the memory controller, and then releases the bus, and the memory controller buffers the data according to the read request or the transfer request, issues a transfer request to a transfer destination identified by the read request or the transfer request, and releases the bus after the completion of data transfer processing.
