PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner exhibiting an excellent effect in all of storage stability, low-temperature fixing property, offset resistance, environmental stability, and environmental preservation property and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The manufacturing of the toner is characterized in that the various physical properties (softening point, glass transition point, rate of chloroform insoluble matter, etc.) of resin components constituting a binder resin are restricted to prescribed ranges and the temperature at the melt kneading and discharge of a binder resin in particular during the manufacturing process of the toner is restricted within the prescribed range.
