PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of knocking detection by suitably removing operation noise of an injector from a knocking detection period while securing the knocking determination period in a knocking detection device for a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine executing split injection by an injector. SOLUTION: ECU 20 establishes base knocking determination period based on ignition timing of the engine 10, establishes mask period corresponding to off timing of later stage injection of split injection, existence of knocking occurrence is determined based on knocking detection signal in the last knocking determination period reflecting the mask period.
