The locking nut (2) fits onto a cylindrical housing (1) with an interrupted male thread. A locking ring (4) engages with a smooth part of the housing and has several flat springs at one end, divided from each other by narrow slits. The inside surfaces of the springs bear against an O-ring (3) and fit into a groove in the housing. There are locking profiles on the outside edges of the spring, engaging with sawtooth shaped locking profiles inside the end of the locking nut.
