Based on an instruction from the control part (210), a voltage applying part (220) fixedly applies a first voltage (VH) to the first electrode (302) and also applies data voltage of the first voltage (VH) or a second voltage (VL) to the second electrode (304) in a normal mode. In a reversal mode, the voltage applying part (220) fixedly applies the second voltage (VL) to the first electrode (302) and also applies the data voltage of the first voltage (VH) or the second voltage (VL) to the second electrode (304). The control part (210) switches the normal and reversal modes in a predetermined period.
