<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilt detecting method and a tilt regulating unit which can detect the inclination of a near-field light radiating means and an object to irradiate by using a comparatively simple optical system, an optical pickup device capable of adjusting the inclination of the near-field light radiating means in a simple configuration, and an optical recording reproducing device thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The relative inclination of the near-field light radiating means 1 and the object to irradiate (optical recording medium 10) is detected by radiating at least one beam to a position shifted off from the optical axis of the near-field light radiating means 1 and detecting the amount of all the return light of this beam reflected on the irradiated object (optical recording medium 10). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
