<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a black ink composition which can output neutral black excellent in gloss feeling and black feeling in both of the color by the common single direction lighting colorimetry (20-degree colorimetric value) and the color sensed by visual observation (2-degree colorimetric value). <P>SOLUTION: The black ink composition comprises a phthalocyanine-based pigment, a benzimidazolone-based pigment, and a carbon black pigment. When the black ink composition is used for recording to form a record on the media having a resin coating layer, in the case where the L* value by the 20-degree colorimetry is 0.5 or less, the a * value by the 20-degree colorimetry is larger than the a* value by the 2-degree colorimetry by the range of from 0 to 1.3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
