<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door operating device which has a closing function and an opening function, at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The door operating device is formed of a latch 21 which engagingly holds a striker in a half-latched position and full-latched position, a ratchet which abuts on and engages with the latch 21 and maintains the striker and the latch 21 in an engaged state, a latch lever 29 operable in cooperation with the latch 21, an open lever 43 operable in cooperation with the ratchet, and a sector gear 42 which can abut on and engage with the open lever 43 and can abut on and engage with the latch lever 29 when the latch 21 is located in the half-latched position. If the sector gear 42 is rotated in a door closing direction with the latch 21 located in the half-latched position, the sector gear 42 abuts on and engages with the latch lever 29 to move the latch 21 to the full-latched position. On the other hand if the sector gear 42 is rotated in a door opening direction, the sector gear 42 abuts on and is engaged with the open lever 43 to cancel the abutting and engaging state between the latch 21 and the ratchet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
