PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus which can retreat a guiding member from a paper carrying path when a paper medium is recorded, and can rotate the guiding member on the carrying path for carrying the paper medium and perform a recording operation when a disk-like recording medium is recorded. SOLUTION: An inkjet recording apparatus records an image on a disk-like recording medium layer, and comprises a rotatable guiding member, a driving device for rotating the guiding member, a holding tool for fixing the disk-like recording medium at the apex part of the guiding member, an inkjet recording means for recording the image on the disk-like recording medium carried by the guiding member, and a data processing system for dividing image information into appropriate line information in advance.
