PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device which displays a video in field image-picked up so that a user may more easily visually confirm it. SOLUTION: In the case of displaying the video of external environment image-picked up by imaging parts 13L and 13R on user's eyes as a virtual image by video display parts 14L and 14R, the video display devices 1 and 1a display the video by adjusting the angle of view when the imaging part and the video display part are on the same optical axis in the line-of-sight direction of a user, and adjusting the angle of view and moving the video when the video display part and the imaging part are not on the same optical axis because the video display part is a transmission type one.
