PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the true refractive power of a lens to be inspected in a lens meter for measuring the image-side reflective powers of lenses to be inspected. SOLUTION: An inclination is provided for a nose piece part at which a lens to be inspected is mounted, or a rotating mechanism is provided for a part for holding the lens to be inspected so that light of the lens meter may be projected at an angle to the lens to be inspected from an oblique direction. On the basis of measurement values from a normal direction and the diagonal direction, the true refractive power of the lens to be inspected is determined by computations.
