PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection structure for a side collision of an automobile capable of being properly adjusted according to physique of an occupant seated adjacent to the structure. SOLUTION: A rest member 11 capable of supporting the occupant seated at the time of the side collision and moving a supporting position in the vertical direction is disposed in the vicinity of a waistline 1b of a side trim 1.
