PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire chafer manufacturing method capable of efficiently manufacturing a wire chafer at a low cost by an extremely reduced number of work processes while keeping high quality. SOLUTION: A plurality of wires 1 are coated with a rubber to mold a strip like member 2, the strip like member 2 is successively cut into a predetermined length to form treat pieces 3 and a plurality of the treat pieces 3 are radially bonded to the outside surfaces of the side parts of a green tire G at required positions to constitute the wire chafer 4.
