PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roller cleaning device which is provided with a pad to be brought into contact with rollers, and is made to have the flexibility similar to that of human hand and the rigidity to enable cross feeding made compatible with each other, is kept to stand by outside the rollers during the operation of the leveler and cleans the rollers by being automatically inserted into the rollers at the start of the cleaning work. SOLUTION: A cleaning member 20 is formed of a flexible material which can be expanded in a vertical direction to a bag shape by compressed air and a core material 21 formed to a hollow plate shape by a rigid material is inserted therein so that the compressed air is supplied into the cleaning member 20 via the core material 21. The roll cleaning device 10 mounted with the cleaning member 20 is constituted to be equipped with a rise and fall means 50 to cause the cleaning member 20 to rise and fall on the outside of the rollers 81 as insertion means to insert the upper and lower rollers 81 of the leveler 80, a rotating member 60 for rotating the cleaning member 20 in an axial direction and a direction perpendicular to the axial direction even in the state of either the rise or the fall, and a moving means 70 for moving the rise and fall means 50 and the rotating member 60 in parallel to the axial direction of the rollers 81.
