The present application relates to a liquid filtration system (1) having a first chamber (11) and a second chamber (13). The first chamber (11) being defined by a receptacle (9) containing a filter media. The receptacle (9) is located inside the second chamber (13). At least one aperture (23) is provided in the receptacle (9) to facilitate fluid communication between the second chamber (13) and the first chamber (11).
