<p>A studded running shoe has the studs with adjustable length and supported by an integral gas cushion. The outer end of each stud has an elastic pad and the body of the stud has a sliding fitting inside a rigid outer sleeve, with sliding seal to prevent ingress of grass, dirt and other matter. The gas cushion is linked via gas ducts in the mounting thread of the stud to a gas control chamber inside the sole. The gas cushion is backed by an integral coil spring inside the stud.</p> |
