<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an error contained in a constant for estimating the rotational position of a rotor. <P>SOLUTION: When a decision is made that the phase of interlinking flux of winding is smaller than 0°, winding resistance R is decreased among apparatus constants of a motor set at a position detecting section.
