<p>A clip for shortening the length of a garment portion, comprises first and second means 4, 12 for retaining fabric, joined by a connector 16. The clip is preferably removable and has the effect of gathering the fabric up and so shortening the portion of the garment. The garment portion is typically the rear of the base of a trouser leg.
