A bag comprising an elongate body having a closed end 14 and an open end defining the mouth 16 of the bag, wherein the body is provided with a pair of integral elongate protrusions 44 that extend away from the body so that the protrusions can be tied together to close the mouth of the bag. The protrusion may have at least one aperture 42 therein. In a preferred embodiment, the protrusions can be tied with a double knot. The aperture(s) may be suitable to receive the fingers of a person carrying the bag. A roll of material defining a plurality of the aforesaid bags, Figure 7, may have lines of perforations to form the protrusions when adjacent bags are separated. The open end of one bag of the roll may be located adjacent to the open end of an adjacent bag, with their protrusions interdigitating. The material may be folded at least once before forming the roll. |
