摘要 A liquid detergent composition comprises as the major constituent a liquid milk product, defined as a derivative of milk having at least one of the normal prolein and carbohydrate constituents of milk in aqueous solution (including colloidal solution) and having a fat content of 2.5% by weight or less, and as minor constituents a bactericide, an acid neutralizing agent, and an anionic surface-active agent. Preferably, the fat content is as low as possible. Suitable liquid milk products comprise rennet whey, lactic acid casein whey, buttermilk, and skim milk, which may have been reconstituted from their powders by addition of water. Inorganic salts, such as sodium chloride or sulphate, may be added to adjust the viscosity of the composition. Suitable bactericides include formalin and the substances sold under the Registered Trade Marks "Nipagin," "Nipasol" and "Foromycin." The acid neutralizing agent may be any compatible alkaline material for example sodium hydroxide or carbonate, and preferably sodium tripolyphosphate. The surface-active agent may be non-fatty-acid derived, preferably sulphonic acid derived, more preferably an alkyl aryl sulphonic acid or alkali metal salt thereof, especially sodium dodecyl benzene sulphonate. The pH of the composition is preferably between 6 and 7.5. Perfumes may be added.
