The unit has a cleat below a base assembled on a snowboard. The cleat has an opening (46) retaining a hidden cap screw (30) to allow rotation movement of the screw (30), and an opening (44) retaining a visible cap screw (29) to allow movement of the screw (29) along a direction parallel to a direction along which the base is fastened on the screw (30). The openings are constricted to exert braking action on threaded parts of the screws.
