PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a color image which can form color image data which suppress a false color. SOLUTION: The method of forming the color image includes a step of acquiring the green signal of the number corresponding to all pixel data of color image data according to a signal charge stored in a signal charge storage 3, the red signal of the number corresponding in the part of all the pixel data of the color image data obtained from an R photoelectric conversion element 2, and the blue signal of the number corresponding in addition to the part obtained from a B photoelectric conversion device 4; a step of subtracting the green signal from the red signal or the blue signal of the identical sample point of this color signal, and forming a color signal x; and a step of forming the color signal which constitutes one pixel data of the color image data which does not exist in the sample point based on the color signal x.
