PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase processing speed by a limited memory capacity for improving response performance in a virtual computer having a JIT compiler. SOLUTION: This virtual computer is provided with the JIT compiler having a function for interpreting a byte code of the virtual computer by means of software and executing it. The JIT compiler has a code cache as a storage area for a native code with a limited volume on a memory, and compiles the byte code into the native code directly operable by the virtual computer in the operation of the byte code to store it in the code cache 3, then executing the negative code. The JIT compiler is provided with a search table 2 for searching information by which it is determined whether compilation is carried out already or not from an address of the byte code, and an address of the compiled native code.
