PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melt-spinning apparatus free from the trouble of the generation of uneven yarn denier, capable of easily treating the following spun yarn at the upstream side without causing the winding of a large amount of yarn on each roller in the case of yarn breakage and allowing to leave the state for a long period. SOLUTION: The melt-spinning apparatus has a spinneret and a cooling apparatus placed at the downstream side of the spinneret. The distance from the outermost yarn among the yarns spun from the spinneret to the surface of the cooling apparatus is set to be≤25 mm. The spinning apparatus is further provided with a yarn cutting apparatus placed at the upstream side from the position to start the solidification of the yarn by the cooling apparatus and composed of an initial yarn cutting plate to cut the cooler-side yarn in the yarns spun from the spinneret and an inclined plate to spontaneously drop the whole yarn in a lump after cutting the remaining yarns.
