<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jelly beverage suitable for supplying water to a person who has difficulty in swallowing such as an infant or an aged person, causing no adhesion or stuffing in her (his) mouth or throat, easily drinkable through a straw, a spout of a container or the like, easy to drink even when a drinker herself (himself) adds sugar, fruit juice, tea or the like as desired, and having new palate feeling. <P>SOLUTION: The jelly beverage contains jelly obtained by adding 0.05-5.0 pts.wt. of a gelatinizer containing polysaccharide to 100 pts.wt. of water; heating the mixture followed by cooling it so as to gelatinize the mixture. The method for producing the jelly beverage comprises a mixing process of mixing water with the gelatinizer, and admixing them together to obtain mixed dispersion liquid, a heating process of heating the mixed dispersion liquid to obtain heated mixture liquid, and a cooling process of cooling the heated mixture liquid to gelatinize the mixture liquid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
