<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, wherein if the "drive control stop position" of a detent plate does not completely coincide with the "detent settling position" of a detent mechanism, when switching of shift range is ended and conduction of an electrical actuator is stopped, the detent plate oscillates through the action of inertial moment and the spring force of the detent mechanism and causes hunting of manual spool valve. <P>SOLUTION: When the detent plate 46 reaches the "drive control stop position", torque reduction control for reducing power being supplied to the electrical actuator gradually by duty control is performed, and then conduction of an electric actuator is stopped. Output torque of the electric actuator is thereby weakened gradually, and even if the "drive control stop position" is shifted from the "detent settling position", balance between "drive control stop torque" and "recovery spring force" is canceled gradually, and thereby the detent plate 46 will not oscillate, after switching is finished. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
