<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide cysteine-enriched fermented dairy food comprising food and drink obtained by addition of peptide highly containing cysteine, having good flavor, and containing cysteine in a high concentration: and to provide a method for producing the food. <P>SOLUTION: The cysteine-enriched fermented dairy food is obtained by addition of peptide highly containing cysteine where the content of the cysteine in the peptide accounts for 4-20 mass%.
