<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an uninterruptible power supply unit where there is no fear of overcharge and its recovery charge time is short. <P>SOLUTION: This uninterruptible power supply unit, which charges a battery 6 while supplying output terminals C and D with power supplied to input terminals A and B and supplies the output terminals with power from the battery when the power supply to the input terminals is interrupted, is provided with a battery charge maximum power value control means so as to charge the battery with charge voltage higher than recommended charge voltage until a specified time passes after recovery from power failure.
