<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hands-free telephone device for an automobile allowing a driver to safely drive, while being free from paying attention to the arrival of a mobile telephone call. <P>SOLUTION: With a mobile telephone call in the condition wherein the mobile phone 10 is set in a telephone holder 11 of an automobile, display is performed to inform about the telephone call to the peripheral vision region outside the central vision region in the visual field of the driver with a HUD 60 without sounding an audible ringing. With this structure, the driver can respond to the telephone call of the mobile phone only in the condition wherein the driving burden on the driver is small enough that the driver can notice telephone call display displayed in only the peripheral vision region without sounding the audible ringing. In the case wherein the driver notices the telephone call display and operates an input operation button 30, a controller 20 controls a brake actuator 140 and a throttle actuator 150 to automatically perform the adaptive cruise following control at a reference adaptive cruise distance longer than the ordinary adaptive cruise distance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
