Actuator has intake valve and exhaust valve, whose amount of lift is controlled by valve lift control device, whereby actuator drives linearly camshaft of adjustment mechanism, which changes lift amount according to its position in axial direction of camshaft. Feed screw mechanism (21) has threaded shaft (39), which moves linearly together with camshaft. Rotating spindle (38) is arranged coaxial to threaded shaft and it rotates, whereby feed screw mechanism converts rotary motion of rotating spindle into linear motion of threaded shaft. Motor unit (26) is provided to rotate the rotating spindle by receiving electrical power. Bearing (23) with inner track (56), is arranged at rotating spindle, whereby stopper element (64), which runs to mesh, directly or indirectly, with an outside track (57) of bearing in direction from electrical power distribution device (29) to outside track, to delimit movement of bearing in axial direction.
