<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly detect the part which is causing a fault in an interior power line. <P>SOLUTION: The detector installed on the interior power line comprises a voltmeter, an ammeter, a current value storage section for storing a current value measured by the ammeter, a threshold storage section for storing a threshold of a current, and an identifier storage section for storing an identifier. The detector, when a voltage value outputted from the voltmeter becomes zero, generates detection data including data indicating whether the current value stored in the current value storage section exceeds the threshold and the identifier and transmits it wirelessly. The information processing system comprises an installation position storage section for storing installation position data, which is data for specifying the installation position of the detector on the interior power line, and the identifier of the detector with correspondence therebetween.
