PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform specification more easily compared with a conventional manner concerning trouble in command transmission from an audio output device to an amplifier or the muting release function of the audio output device. SOLUTION: An on-vehicle navigation apparatus increments audio output request counter by one at timing 315 immediately after audio output operation 310 by a user. Subsequently, control commands 320, 340, 360 are transmitted to the amplifier 4, so as to release internal muting (processing 350). The increment is performed by one at timing 365 immediately after the release on the audio output completion counter. Then audio output 370 is started immediately after the increment.
