PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side-reinforced type run-flat tire 2 capable of suppressing an excessive deflection of the tread 4 in running and also a permanent distortion of the profile of the tread 4. SOLUTION: The run-flat tire 2 is equipped with a load supporting layer 12 positioned inside in the axial direction of a side wall 6. Further the tire 2 is equipped with a belt 14 consisting of an inner belt ply 40 and outer belt ply 42 and a full band 16 covering substantially the whole surface outside in the radial direction of the belt 14. The full band 16 consists of cords 16 and topping rubber. The intermediate elongation of the cord when a tensile load of 50 N is applied, is 3.0% or less. It may also be accepted that the tire 2 is equipped with a center band having a smaller width in axial direction than the full band 16 and to be laminated on the full band 16 in the neighborhood of the equator CL.
