PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more efficiently attain power saving than a conventional manner in the transfer of image data based on the PCI Express specification. SOLUTION: This data transfer device is configured to transfer image data by the PCI-Express specifications synchronously with a line synchronizing signal LSYNC. In this case, a time interval between the packets of the image data to be transferred within one cycle of the line synchronizing signal LSYNC is set to be a time required for shifting to an LOs state or less. Thus, it is possible to reduce a transitional period to the LOs state and a transitional period (period t1) to an LO state as shown by Fig. 18(b) as compared with the case of Fig.(a), and to increase the LOs state period in one line period.
