PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily screen whether an examined chemical substance is an endocrine disruptor or not, in particular, in a short time. SOLUTION: A female imago conceiving a large amount of immature eggs out of a fish, for example, a small fresh water fish such as zebrafish, is put in breeding water containing the examined chemical substance. A transparency rate of the egg is measured after the lapse of a prescribed time, for example, two hours to 22 hours, preferably, 3 hours to five hours, the endocrine disruptor, for example, progesterone-like substance, is able to be screened on the basis of the transparency rate of the egg, and an anti-progesterone substance is able to be screened, when the examined chemical substance is brought into contact with the fish under the presence of a standard endocrine disruptor.
