PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a punching method and a punching apparatus of a plate by which a punched refuse is fallen without being raised in the case the plate to be punched is covered with a protective sheet. SOLUTION: The method for punching the plate W covered with the protective sheet WS comprises a step where a chill CA is blown onto the punching part of the plate, a step where the protective sheet WS in the punching part is cooled and hardened and the plate W is punched with punching dies 5, 9.
