PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stool for a Japanese-style toilet bowl excellent in safety and having low manufacturing costs. SOLUTION: A housing recess 5 for housing a front cover part of the Japanese-style toilet bowl 1 is provided on the lower edge of the rear of a barrel part 4 of the stool 2 mounted on the bowl 1. Leg members 7 are respectively and adjustably fixed on right and left bottom edges of the barrel part 4. Longitudinal intervals of the leg members 7 are set larger than an outer width of the bowel 1. When the stool 2 is widthwise mounted on the bowl 1, height of the leg members 7 is adjusted to a high position, thereby the bottom edge of the barrel part 4 is prevented from abutting on the right and left protrusive edges of the bowl 1.
