<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust bearing for a continuously variable transmission which has superior durability and noise characteristics at low costs. <P>SOLUTION: The thrust bearing 10 is arranged on the continuously variable transmission transmitting rotation of an input shaft 101 and the rotation of an output shaft 103 while the rotation of these shaft is continuously varied, and supports a thrust load generated by the rotation of either of the input shaft and output shaft. The thrust bearing 10 has raceway disks 11 which are used without grinding raceway surfaces of the raceway disks after applying quenching hardening, and the raceway disks are selected from a group of raceway disks which has a 40μm or less value adding three times of standard deviation of bending and waviness of the raceway disks to an average value when measuring the bending and waviness of the randomly sampled raceway disks among a group of a plurality of raceway disks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
