<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image managing device and a method capable of easily storing and managing private images of a plurality of persons through easy operation and limiting browsing and use of the images by others. <P>SOLUTION: An IC card reader 102 reads user identification information out of a non-contact IC card where the user identification information is recorded. It is decided whether a folder intrinsic to a user corresponding to the read user identification information is generated on a hard disk in the device and when not, a folder corresponding to the user identification information is automatically generated. When an image taken in through a memory card reader/writer, a wired or wireless communication means, etc., is saved on the hard disk, the taken-in image is saved in the folder corresponding to the read user identification information and when the image saved on the hard disk is output, only the image saved in the folder corresponding to the read user identification information can be output. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
