PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor and a control method for reducing capacity of an electronic binder configured with a plurality of electronic documents wherein duplicated font data are embedded in consideration of the fact that font data is larger in data size as compared with text data so that an electronic document (PDF etc. ) embedded with fonts becomes extremely large in size. SOLUTION: This information processor is provided with an archive means for, when archiving a plurality of electronic documents 301 in which fonts can be embedded, automatically detecting font data 306 common to the plurality of electronic document groups, then for organizing the duplicated font data 306 to generate an electronic document archive file.
